Monthly Special Education Advocacy Group

Our Special Education Advocacy Group was started in 2004, and is held on the first Wednesday of the month September through June. The goal of this group is to share information and provide direction and/or advice to families who need assistance with obtaining diagnoses, special education qualification and/or services from their local school district or from Regional Center. Attorney Kathy Greco, Esq., whose practice is focused on special education, facilitates our group.

Parents and other family members are welcome to come with general or specific questions or to just listen and learn from the experiences of those who have already been there. Our goal is to teach families how to work with each system, to have their child properly diagnosed and then to obtain the necessary services and accommodations to allow their child to learn and succeed in school.
